Commercial projects require the ability to balance various requirements, including ADA, the building code, the Owner's needs and more. Thomas Fallon has experience working on small vanilla shell improvements all the way up to Super Targets and everything in between (see below for a list of project types). Knowing what your project will require before you go in for a permit can be a real budget saver and Thomas Fallon is dedicated to becoming in tune with his client's needs and often anticipates them before they know what they want, saving time and money. We enjoy working through the technical information required even in the smallest of projects.

In the past five years, we have successfully used our building code knowledge to illustrate that several Jurisdictions were overstepping or misinterpreting code requirements (ADA & OSSC) in terms of ramp requirements, restroom requirements, and sprinkler requirements. In some cases, I have taken some of these issues to the State to have them agree with me. I do all this in a way that does not offend the Jurisdiction (which is not easy). I also watch SDCs (systems development charges) for mistakes and catch a lot more errors than there should be and have saved clients thousands of dollars.

Retail Buildings
Gresham, Oregon

Note: This project completed while I was working for another office.

Retail building 1 - two stories (top story is level with and accessed from rear parking lot). Building 2—single story, accessed from parking and E. Burnside.

I loaded this project on here to demonstrate how a commercial building can be design economically and attractive. Brick corbels and cast stone accents made this project a welcomed addition to the neighborhood.
